- What will trainees learn? This workshop is the introductory level workshop, as compared to the advanced workshop discussing the analogue functional analysis. The Functional behavior assessment (FBA) determines why the individual is engaging in problem behaviors. Appropriate interventions are based on the function and the identification of replacement behaviors that preserve the function but accomplish it in a more acceptable way. Trainees who attend this workshop will practice methods of conducting FBA’s to develop function-based interventions that improve the likelihood the interventions are successful
