Social Skills Training

Monroe Township Public Schools, in conjunction with BD & Associates, is pleased to offer an after-school social skills group for students both within Monroe Twp and outside the Monroe Twp school district. The objectives of the group include the following:

1)     Include typically developing peers with students on the autism spectrum

2)     Develop social skills using empirically validated Applied Behavior Analysis strategies

3)     Provide brief respite for parents

4)     Facilitate physical activity for a portion of the program

5)     Provide access to available services and benefits for families with children on the autism spectrum

It is undetermined when the next new session will begin, however it will be on Tuesdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm. Selection of students for the program will be based on a brief evaluation by our Behavior Analysts.

A special thanks to the GoodLooking Foundation for funding students to attend the program. If the limited number of scholarships are not available for your student (or your school district is not funding the program), the weekly fee for the program is $65 per session.
